Rooted

Living in the town and now the house I grew up in gives me strong roots in our community. Driving on the open prairie, I never tire of watching the pronghorn roam through my unrolled car window, the wind blowing in my face. On walks through and around our prairie town, I pick up and recycle interesting rusty objects as well as natural items for my sculptures, breathing new life into something lost or abandoned. I incorporate ceramic figures with these objects to place the viewer in the landscape.
